Country Garden - Upper Moutere

New owners to a country location found a site with attractive potential but little integration between dwelling and garden. A pool, improved outdoor living areas and circulation and an overall integration of the various components with an underlying organic response were called for.

The outdoor areas were located to respond to indoor activites and easily 'migrate' as the day progresses. A morning area provides for easy outdoor flow and dining, well linked to the heart of the house, with the pool location on the western end of the house, capitalising on the views and orientation of the site.

An adjustment to the decks around the house, and widening of these to create usable deck areas in places provides further integration between house and garden.

All planting was enthusiastically undertaken by the owner.
